The Local Conference of Youth is the Netherlands’ youth-led climate conference, bringing together young people from all backgrounds to learn, debate, and take action on the issues that define our future. The Conference of Youth (COY) is the official event of YOUNGO, the children and youth constituency to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Every year, LCOYs are organised in countries around the world. This September, it’s our turn!
This Local Conference of Youth is organised by three youth (climate) organisations: the Dutch Youth Council, the Jonge Klimaat Beweging and Youth for Climate. The weekend aims to open up a platform for a network of young people in the Netherlands to develop a Dutch youth climate statement, which will be presented at the next international climate summit in Turkey.
